I'm so excited to share this lady with you all today (okay, I'm excited about ALL these interviews because these women are all incredible). I found her site a few months ago and was thrilled to see her new project - the Body Harmony Society. If you're craving freedom + harmony in your life, check it out!
Every woman has their own unique story. Can you tell us 'your story' with food or body image?
I used to constantly compare my body to other women and my friends. I was always searching for the next best thing that would magically help me feel comfortable in my skin, or provide The Answer to all my issues around my body and food.
I never felt good enough, and I would constantly punish myself food.
It took a while, and a lot of inner work around self-worth to realise that I could release the comparisons and start nourishing myself with food... not punishing myself.
What are the two biggest lessons you learned in order to heal disordered eating and body shame?
1) One of the best things I did was stop eating in secret or stop eating food if I felt I wouldn't eat it in front of my family or friends. This re-programmed my mind to believe that the food I ate - and the environment in which I ate it - was positive and defused the feelings of guilt or shame I may have been feeling around eating and food choices.
2) The second lesson I learnt is that it's so important to listen to your body and that your ideal diet might not look anything like your best friend's... and this is perfect. You need to honour that.
If you could write a letter to your former self, what would you want her to know?
I would want her to know that it's all going to be ok! That she doesn't need to stress so much or compare herself to others. And that she WILL one day live in body harmony :)
Let's chat tools. What are your favorite books, tools, apps, coaches, etc. that have helped you along your journey.
I have to be totally honest... I found the most change when I stopped searching for it. (
But... if I had to say one thing, it would be this: learning how to connect to my body helped me the most.
I did this through a few ways, but the biggest and most profound shifts came when I started my yoga practice.
I also meditate, create, journal, write and release blocked emotions through kinesiology and all of these tools have been instrumental.
What keeps you inspired, alive, and vibrant these days?

All About Cassie
As a kinesiologist, naturopath, nutritionist and herbalist, I want to help you upgrade your health and your life – what you eat, how you think, but also what you say “yes” to… and what you say “no” to.
My mission is to share what I know about looking after yourself, being gentle with yourself, slowing down, and releasing any emotional blocks, limiting beliefs or self-sabotages which keep you feeling stuck.
In working with me, women move into what I call “body harmony” – a state of balance, ease and vitality.
I started my business because I care about helping people give themselves permission to stop burning out, pushing themselves so hard, and feeling like self-care and body harmony is so out of reach. I’m tired of people feeling so tired, drained and exhausted, constantly comparing themselves to others, and feeling unworthy and less than.
Sometimes, my work looks like seeing clients in my clinic in Sydney or over Skype, helping them to understand their triggers, consciously act instead of subconsciously react, create new solutions to old problems, and defuse everyday pressures such as worrying, perfectionism and overwhelm.
Other times, it’s writing and creating helpful online offerings such as my Cleansed eCourse and Cleansed eBooks, as well as my meal plans, or running wellness webinars. When I’m not doing any of the above, I’m getting lost in a good novel, promising my hubby that I packed the dishwasher properly, playing with our most-handsome-marshmallow dog Miso, hanging out in a cafe or suiting up for a yoga class.
