I'm so grateful for all of you long-term readers for stopping by and sharing my posts, as well as new readers who may be curious but haven't explored intuitive eating or body acceptance ideas yet.
I've adored writing since I was a little kid, and books have always been a love of mine. There's pictures of me sitting on the floor surrounded by piles of books, and I'm sure my mom could find some pretty creative stories and poems I wrote when I was 10 or so of fantasy worlds.
These days what stokes my creativity and is self-care for me are books, journaling, meditations, and seriously stellar programs from rockstar friends.
So, I've put together a handful of my favorite things to share with you, in hopes they'll bring you peace, freedom, creativity, joy, or whatever you're craving. When I'm in a place of 'flow,' I'm fully present. I'm writing, moving, or savoring, I'm connected to myself. Listening to my heart. Creating and really finding joy in everyday moments. These gifts are part of my daily toolbox.
So, what's in my Self-Care Toolbox?
- A Journal... To jot down thoughts, feelings, emotions, dreams, gratitude, moments. To process. To simply write and enjoy the process of self-expression in my own private space.
- Meditation... To connect back to myself. For extreme clarity. To find inspiration, self-love, or acceptance within me. For a moment of stillness.
- Books of all sorts... Fiction, inspirational, health, stories and memoirs, real paper books.
